It's been gone for a few years, but the Ford Ranger is slotted to return to the midsize truck scene with a 2019 model. Sporting all the functionality that drivers have come to expect out of legendary Ford trucks, the Ranger might be smaller than a full-size truck, but it's just as ready to take on the great outdoors. With a host of available driver assistance features, tech, and performance features for Arlington and Baltimore drivers too select, the Ranger meshes modern functionality and classic versatility with ease. Coming in three trim options (XL, XLT, and Lariat), Washington, DC can select the trim that suits their needs. However, not all the trim specific details have been released. What we do know so far includes general options. What do those details include? Check out the general overviews of each feature section below.
So far, tech feature information is limited, but we do know that the Ranger will offer Arlington drivers Android/ Apple CarPlay connectivity, Ford+Alexa personal assistant functionality, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi capability. Those Baltimore drivers that opt for the 4G LTE Wi-Fi feature will be able to connect up to ten devices and will have a fifty-foot radius of connectivity outside the vehicle. The last bit of tech we know about so far is the Sync 3 infotainment system for multimedia and general infotainment system navigation.
The Ranger comes with a single engine option for Washington, DC drivers to utilize: a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. Optional performance features abound, including: four-wheel drive, Dana Trac-Loc differentials, electronically locking rear differential, four-wheel drive, and a FX off-road package (frame-mounted skid plates, shock absorbers, and off-road tires).
Sporty, rugged, and modernly stylish, the Ranger mixes classic truck aesthetic with modern functionality. It'll fit in amongst the mud and dirt of the outdoors as well as the concrete jungle of the city. It might be a midsize with humbly bold styling, but that doesn’t mean it isn't ready to adventure from Arlington to Washington, DC.
